Taking a Walk in February

When you take a walk in the woods in February in this part of Southeastern Pennsylvania, you get a little bit of Winter and a hint of Spring! We did this walk at Templin Woods Preserve on a February weekend when it was 11 degrees F. on Saturday and 50+ degrees F. on Sunday. The ice fairies were still there to remind us that winter is not over! Fresh Turkey Tail fungus and skunk cabbage sprouts are an early sign that Spring is coming soon!

Take a walk in the woods and enjoy the beauty of nature in all seasons!
