The muse

muse…”A person, or an imaginary being, or force that gives someone ideas and helps them write, paint, and make music.”…definition from Cambridge English dictionary.

Ask deep questions and you will get deep answers. I have been going to a monthly writing workshop with Brie (https://www.facebook.com/events/943241160113809/?ref=newsfeed) and she is teaching me how to ask deep questions. This leads me to a question that many people have asked me… “How do you know what to write about?”. My usual answer is… “I write when I’m inspired and I’m usually in nature.”

So, the deep question I am asking today is… “Where does the inspiration come from?”. My answer through automatic writing was… “You hear from the muse.” This led to even more questions:

Who/what are the muse

Do I hear from the muse

What is the energy of the muse

Is the muse an idea?

Are the muse part of my higher self? Or part of the collective knowing?

I asked all these questions to the muse on a short walk in the woods on a Saturday morning. This is what I heard from the muse through automatic writing…

Listen to the muse when you walk in nature. It may feel like a quiet whisper, but they will remind you how they spark your creativity. Some of you will write, but others will draw or paint. You receive the muse in the way your body understands them.

Who is the muse? They are a mystery, but you know when you hear them, because they poke at you until you pick up your pen or your paintbrush.

Some will say they are energy.

Others say they are from the fairy realm.

Whoever or whatever they are…You know them when you hear them!
