Doodling in Nature…at the Hollow Tree

When you go to your favorite sit spot and you are not inspired to write words, have you ever tried drawing? This winter, I have been looking back through my stacks of journals and was surprised to find quite a few drawings. I have done it in the past, but this year I want to experiment with “doodling in nature” with intention, to hear from the nature spirits. Just like all humans do not speak the same language, to hear from the nature beings, we may need to be open to a different way of hearing them, other than words.

Keep in mind…I’m not an artist and never took an art class after high school! This is why I know the drawings came through automatic drawing in the same way that I receive my automatic writing.

Here are some examples from 2020 when I sat near a hollow tree, very close to where I live…

This hollow tree always had a mystical feel to it

The day that I was at the Hollow tree, I was alone and asked to hear from the fairy realm. This gnome shares my feelings about graffiti!

I asked to see their home and this is what I drew in my journal…

“A picture speaks a thousand words!”
